Maatalouden kokonaislaskelmat 1992-1999

Abstract

Maa- ja puutarhatalouden kustannukset kasvavat 5 % eli noin 750 milj. markkaa tänä vuonna. Vastaava kustannusten kasvuvauhti oli edellisen kerran 1980-luvulla. Kustannuksia kasvattavat erityisesti polttoaineiden ja väkirehuseosten hintojen nousu sekä korkotason kasvu. Tulos käy ilmi Maatalouden taloudellisessa tutkimuslaitoksessa (MTTL) laaditusta maa- ja puutarhatalouden kokonaislaskelman vuotta 2000 koskevasta ennusteesta. Kustannusten lisääntymistä kompensoi kuitenkin tuottojen kasvu. Ennusteen mukaan maa- ja puutarhatalouden kokonaistuotto kasvaa 7 % eli 1,5 mrd. markkaa vuonna 2000. Tuottoa kasvattavat erityisesti viimevuotista parempi viljasato, sianlihan markkinahinnan nousu ja uusien tukiratkaisujen myötä lisääntyneet tuet. Tukia ovat lisänneet Agenda 2000-ratkaisu ja siihen liittyvä markkinahintojen alentamisen korvaus tuilla, sekä luonnonhaittakorvauksen ulottaminen myös eteläiseen Suomeen. Kokonaistuoton ja kustannusten erotuksena laskettava maataloustulo kasvaa ennusteen mukaan 14 % eli 800 milj. markkaa, ja on siten 6,4 mrd. markkaa vuonna 2000. Reaalisesti laskien se kasvaa kuitenkin inflaation nopeutumisen takia vain 11 % eli 600 milj. markkaa. Maataloustulo mittaa yrittäjien omalle työpanokselle ja pääomalle saatavaa korvausta.

The agricultural total calculation of Finland reflects the development of total agricultural production and the costs and income related to it. Lines of production included are traditional production (milk, meat, eggs, crops, etc.) and horticulture. The payments are booked on the basis of cash flow. Annual farm income is calculated as a difference between total income and costs of a year, and it can be interpreted as a salary for farm family's own work and an interest for own capital invested in farm business. Finland joined the European Union in 1995, and this changed the economic infrastructure of Finnish farm remarkably. Prices of outputs decreased 40% on average, but the input prices decreased only 20%. The difference was partly compensated by subsidies which caused the sector to be more dependent on political decision making. Total income of agriculture has fallen from FIM 26.2 billion in 1992 to FIM 20.8 billion in 1999. Subsidies are of importance as their share of total income was 43%. The most important marketed product is milk; it accounted for 42% of income from markets. Subsidies and market income from horticulture had a share of 10% of total agricultural income. Total costs have decreased from FIM 18.0 billion to FIM 15.2 billion between 1992 and 1999. The largest share of costs are due to machinery, and other remarkable costs are buildings, feed costs, fertilisers and energy. Salaries do play an important role especially in horticultural costs. As the total income has decreased more than costs, the farm income has naturally fallen. It was FIM 8.2 billion in 1992, and since then the trend has been decreasing. At it's lowest in 1998 it was FIM 5.5 billion due to bad weather conditions, but it increased to FIM 5.6 billion in 1999.
