Perunalajike Etelä-Savoon : varhais- ja ruokaperunan lajikekokeiden tuloksia vuosilta 1983-1994

Abstract

Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin eri varhais- ja ruokaperunalajikkeiden menestymistä Etelä-Savossa vuosina 1983-1994 Karilassa tehtyjen virallisten lajikekokeiden pohjalta. Kyseisenä jaksona vähintään kolme vuotta kokeissa olleita ruokaperunalajikkeita oli 14 ja varhaisperunalajikkeita 10. Varhaisperunakokeen ensimmäinen nosto oli keskimäärin 22.7. (63 vrk istutuksesta), toinen 5.8. (77 vrk) ja kolmas 20.8. (92 vrk). Ruokaperunakoe nostettiin keskimäärin 12.9. (110 vrk). Lajikkeita verrattiin parivertailuna mittarin tuloksiin kokeissa, joissa ne olivat samanaikaisesti. Varhaisperunakokeessa mittarilajikkeena oli Ostara ja ruokaperunakokeessa Bintje. Ostaran sato oli varhaisperunakokeen ensimmäisessä nostossa keskimäärin 18,7 t/ha, toisessa 31,2 t/ha ja kolmannessa 41,0 t/ha. Ensimmäisessä nostossa sadonmuodostus oli yhtä nopeaa useilla lajikkeilla: Ostaran veroisia olivat Aminca, Barima, Gloria, Silla ja Timo. Toisessa ja kolmannessa nostossa Ostaran satotasoon ylsivät Aminca, Timo, Rutt ja Ukama, vain Gloria tuotti Ostaraa suuremman sadon. Ostara, Gloria, Timo ja Ukama olivat laatuominaisuuksiltaan parhaita. Gloria, Aminca, Amazone ja Ukama olivat makuarvostelussa Ostaraa parempia. Ruokaperunakokeessa Bintjen sato oli keskimäärin 41,1 t/ha, mutta ensimmäisen luokan sato vain 28,7 t/ha. Sadontuottokyvyltään mittarilajikkeen veroisia olivat Nicola, Van Gogh, Timate, Matilda, Rosamunda ja Semena, joista Nicola, Semena, Van Gogh ja Timate tuottivat selvästi Bintjeä suuremman ensimmäisen luokan sadon. Nicola, Sabina ja Semena olivat laadultaan parhaita. Amazone, Rekord ja Van Gogh saivat Bintjeä paremman ja Olympia, Pito ja Semena Bintjen veroisen makuarvostelun.

Early potato and main table potato varieties were studied in Mikkeli in 1983-1994 to establish which would be suitable for the South Savo area. Fourteen main table potato varieties and 10 early potato varieties were tested for at least 3 years in the official variety trials during that period. The first lifting of early potato was, on average, 22 July (63 days after planting), the second 5 August (77 days) and the third 20 August (92 days). Main table potato was lifted, on average, on 12 September, when the average growth time was 110 days. Varieties were compared pairwise by t-test with the reference variety in those trials in which they participated at the same time as the reference variety. The reference variety was Ostara for early potato and Bintje for main table potato. In the early potato trials, the average tuber yield of Ostara was 18.7, 31.2 and 41.0 t/ha in the first, second and third lifting, respectively. Early potato varieties with a yield equal to Ostara were Aminca, Barima, Gloria, Rutt, Silla, Timo and Ukama. The varieties with the best quality were Gloria, Timo, Ukama and Ostara, and with the best flavour Gloria, Aminca, Amazone and Ukama. In the main table potato trials, the average tuber yield of Bintje was 41.1 t/ha, but the first class yield was only 28.7 t/ha. Main table potato varieties with a yield equal to Bintje were Nicola, Van Gogh, Timate, Matilda, Rosamunda and Semena. The first class tuber yield of Nicola, Semena, Van Gogh and Timate was better than that of Bintje. The yield quality of Nicola, Sabina, Semena, Van Gogh and Timate was equal or better than that of Bintje. The varieties with the best flavour were Amazone, Rekord, Van Gogh, Olympia, Pito and Semena.
