Mansikan tarkennettu lannoitus ja kastelu

Abstract

Satoikäistä mansikkakasvustoa piti kastella tihkuletkuilla 3 l/taimi/viikko satokautena, jotta maan kosteus pysyi riittävänä kasveille helposti saatavan veden alueella. Vastaavasti istutusvuonna kastelutarve oli 0,7 0,8 l/taimi/viikko. Paras kosteusalue oli tensiometrillä mitaten 0,2 0,3 bar. Tihkuletkujen kautta tehty lannoitus antoi saman sadon kuin lannoitus päältä eli 600 900 g/kasvi, riippuen maan kosteustilasta ja kasvuston iästä. Ilman tihkukastelua sato putosi 900 grammasta kasvia kohden 600 grammaan.

The yield producing strawberry had to be drip irrigated at a rate of 3 liter/plant per week to keep the soil moisture at a level permitting easy using water by plants. After strawberry planting drip irrigation continued at a rate of 0.7 0.8 liters/seedling per week. The best soil moisture was 0.2 0.3 bar as measured with a tensiometer. Liquid fertilization with irrigation pipes in the soil resulted in the same yield as did granular fertilization over the plant stand. The yields varied from 600 to 900 g/plant, depending on the moisture content of the soil and the age of the plants. Without drip irrigation the yield decreased from 900 g to 600 g/plant.
