Tiivistelmä
The effect of dietary fat supplementation on the apparent ileal digestibility of amino acids and the passage rate of digesta was evaluated in six ileao-cannulated castrated male pigs (40.8-83.3 kg). Increasing levels of rapeseed oil or raffinated tallow (7% or 14% of dry matter) were added to the rapeseed meal diet. Tallow improved the apparent ileal digestibility of most amino acids, whereas rapeseed oil had no effect on amino acid digestibilities. Both fat sources increased digesta retention time (MRT) measured wuth ytterbium by 45 min, but had no effect on digesta MRT estimated with cobalt.
