Evaluation of the productivity and costs of excavator-based mechanized tree planting in Finland based on automated data collection (Retracted)

This article has been retracted. The authors found the following error in the cost calculations: the total cost of the kilometre allowances for the machine operators was calculated based on the number of sites across all planting chains (e.g., 0.57 €/km × 50 km × 50 sites), whereas it should have been calculated based on the number of shifts during the forest management season (e.g., 0.57 €/km × 50 km × 150 shifts). The correction in the calculations slightly affected the results of the cost analyses, but the conclusions remained the same. Revised article is published: https://doi.org/10.14214/sf.25004
